Many happy returns!

To All Mothers, may your days always be Mothers’ Day.

March and April had been real hectic but enjoyable getting-back-together gathering time with friends and relatives; and there???s more to come all thru the month of September!

We had the Rosal Clan Easter Fest in March; a weekend in Atlantic City with friends, Noli and Connie Maceda, Hermie and Celi Agoncillo, not to mention Ely???s luck at the Dice Table in mid-April.  Last week, we welcomed houseguests, Chamberlain and Aida Febre.  Since they are also avid golfers, Ely had taken them for rounds of golf, while I worked.  Then we had yet another tour, with them, in Atlantic City, stayed overnight at Caesar???s Palace for little gambling and dining, and then proceeded to NYC for a couple of nights??? stay.  It rained the whole time we were there, but we were able to see Ground Zero.  We had dinner at China Town, where we met with Benny and Jonette.  On Sunday we heard mass at St Patrick???s Cathedral before we headed back home to VA.

This Mother???s Day weekend I took the Amtrak right after work on Friday, from Quantico to NYC to meet with Benny and Jonette, and then Saturday, with my sisters for a Japanese Dinner and a special a Mothers Day Brunch at Rich???s & Vix??? home in Westchester. I even watched Rent with my sister, Sonia; and Chicago, with Benny before I took my train back to Quantico, straight to work.  Meanwhile Ely had gone to Rochester to spend the weekend with Jim, Weez and the boys (Connor had invited him [as his guest], on ???Special Guest Day,??? on Friday).  Elaine and family came to VA for a few days visit on Saturday, but alas, Ely and I weren???t home, but Elice was.  And we will make up for it, we???ll be spending an extended Mother???s Day on Monday and Tuesday.

We look forward to Rizal and Cleo Reyes??? visit on May 11th; Frankie and Claire Junsay???s on May 31st; and Daisy Atienza???s and Liwawa deLos Reyes??? on June 1st.

And then I leave on June 12th, for the first leg of my trip to the Philippines, with enough lay over time to watch Beau and Coco???s performance

at the Crystal Cathedral in LA.  I leave for Hong Kong at 1:55 a.m. on June 13th., arrive in Manila on Tuesday 14th, at 11:10 a.m. (Mla time).  Ely will be arriving on the 16th. We’ll be there for three weeks.

And then we look forward to Ely???s Class ‘52 HS Reunion in Las Vegas at Ben & Urcena Ocampo???s residence in September??

WOW!

In-between times, I’m still doing pottery—I am hand-building, this time.
